How parent records work, so there are no surprises.

  • Parent records are normally created through an admission. A parent record can also be added manually, but it must be linked to an existing student ID.
  • When a password is reset, the new credentials are shown once to the admin and cannot be retrieved again — copy them before closing.

Questions schools ask

How are parent accounts created?

Automatically, when a student is admitted: the admission form captures the father's, mother's and guardian's details and creates the parent account. A parent record can also be added manually against an existing student ID.

What happens when a family has more than one child at the school?

The children are linked to one parent record, so the parent uses a single login and the profile shows all of their children and the family's fee summary together.

Can we reset a parent's password?

Yes, from the parent's row in the directory. The new credentials are displayed once to the admin so they can be shared with the parent.

Can we record a guardian who is not a parent?

Yes. Each record has a guardian section with name, relationship to the student and mobile number, or a 'same as father' option.

Can staff see what a family owes?

Yes. The parent profile shows the total due and number of invoices, with a link to the full fee details.
